Day 17 - Vancouver Part Two
We started with another healthy breakfast this morning at this trendy vegan restaurant called Heirloom. I got a hash with a side salad and quinoa falafel style balls. Jonah got a banana French toast that tasted like a donut…
I highly recommend that place to anyone going to Vancouver.
Our next fun stop was at Granville Island.
It was super artsy and funky. We saw lots of interesting shops including a broom shop, a smock shop, and blown glass shop. There was an enticing sign we came across advertising a whisky tasting so we tried it out. I didn't hate it as much as I thought.. they actually had nice flavors.
We came across a fun maple syrup place where we bought a dark chocolate bar and pecan candy popcorn.. it was quite enjoyable.
Next was their public Market which was like an indoor farmers market right on the water. We tried some free samples of lemon squares, maple syrup and more! Everything there looked so good that I wished I hadn't had such a big breakfast.
We heard lots of good buskers on the street then we hit the road to head back to Seattle with the same family we had stayed with.
On that drive we stopped along the way for some pretty views!
Once we got to town, we found a Vietnamese dinner and drinks happy hour place and met up with a college friend. We ended the night with a splash in the hottub!
