Day 32 - The Glass Beach
First thing we did today was see the famous Glass Beach in Fort Bragg. At the beach, we realized the main section was closed so we went on a glass hunt. It was an interesting history how the beach formed. For a long time garbage got dumped on the beach which later turned into something beautiful...sea glass. In the past 30 years people seem to take the glass and it is left with a fraction of what it used to have, unfortunately.
Both of us decided to go back to Mendocino for breakfast at a cute cafe where Jonah got some pastries and I got a veggie cake. We went back to to see the coast at Mendocino and could actually see the ocean today without all that fog. I noticed a bunch of ducks diving down to catch some fish.
Back again we went on Highway 1 along the coast and stopped for some pictures where we saw hawks peacefully gliding over the ocean.
Next we tried a winery that was a bit stuffy and we were asked what our pallet was.. How do you answer that question? Anyways super expensive and the wines were too dry for my liking. It was on a super pretty property though!
We discovered a nice little walkway along the coast and got some silly shots.
Lastly, we finished the day by driving over the Golden Gate Bridge and arrived in San Francisco to stay with Jonah’s family!
