Day 31 - My Heart's in Mendocino

Today we had a late start but that made up for what we were about to see! Part of the way we were driving on Route 1, although it was so twisty/ turny that I got really car sick.. Jonah loved it.

We got some pictures along the way with pretty turquoise water.

For lunch we stopped in Mendocino a Cali Coast town with a population of aging hippies mixed with retirees driving corvettes. Jonah got a fish sandwich while I got an empanada.

After lunch we checked out the shore which was almost invisible with a think blanket of fog and clouds. Because it was so foggy we checked out some local stores and art galleries which were all cute but we just window shopped there.

Since it was hard to find campsites nearby we decided to spend the night at a motel in Fort Bragg (our first of the trip).

Once we got settled in we walked to a local Thai restaurant that served up a tasty Pad Thai and a peanut curry veggie dish that I got. I am still thinking about how flavorful it was .
