Day 75 - On Our Way to Charleston!
And our last day in Savannah was here, but we weren’t done doing local stuff.
The morning consisted with some cat bonding time, again and then we went to another fun restaurant where we got a super tasty buddha bowl mixed with beans, apples, walnuts, spinach, quinoa and butternut squash.. super wholesome.
I was so full afterwards but had to make space for some local ice cream. I tried the coconut based vanilla ice cream and it was so tasty. The ice-cream parlor was an iconic stop in Savannah called Leopold’s and it was super cute inside with lots of vintage decorations. Even the employees were dressed like it was the 50’s.
Before leaving the city, Ciara wanted to make sure we got some nice pictures and she took us around to see some historic squares that now act as parks..
We said our goodbyes and then took the car to get cleaned off because we weren’t in the woods anymore.
After the wash we made our way a few hours to Charleston, our next stop for the night!
My cousin, Cori, showed us around and gave us a tour of her campus and the city. We thought it was super cute and hip!
As we walked around the city we saw some local arts and music which was fun and made our way to a restaurant for dinner.
The restaurant was southern style/ upscale diner type food. Jonah and Cori both got the chicken and waffles and I have to say I was a bit jealous because it was so good. The place also had unforgettable Moscow mules which would definitely come back just for that!
After dinner we made our way back home for the night and had a few drinks! We were honestly so exhausted that we decided to stay home instead of going out with the college kids.
