Day 77 - Home Again, Home Again!
Wow! And just like that it was our final day on the road and by the early evening we would be returning back to where we started in Scarsdale. It is weird to think about how much we did in such a short period of time.
We both didn’t feel quite ready to be ending this amazing journey, although we realized that we definitely want to incorporate travel into our lifestyle and go back to many of these magnificent places. Overall it was really exciting to go out on this journey! We didn’t know quite how it would turn out and to our surprise it was extremely easy, fun and exciting!
For our final day, we got breakfast with Jacqueline In Richmond at a cute sandwich/ grocery store place and then said our goodbyes.
A few hours later we stopped in Baltimore for lunch at a fun Korean/ Vietnamese style restaurant.
The drive home was honestly pretty miserable because the traffic on the east coast just sucks and we were just trying to get home so it made the trip feel much longer.
It was fun driving past Manhattan and it is a city that’s hard to beat. All the lights are so pretty and it made me happy to return home.
I had fooled my family into thinking we would be home the following day, however I think they had an idea we’d be returning today because I’m an awful liar.
We knocked on the door and were greeted first by my giant 100 pound puppy (who probably doubled in size in the 2.5 months we were gone) and then by some very happy parents to see us home safe and sound!
Thanks for following our crazy, fun and exciting journey across the country!!
