Hey there!

Welcome to our blog. Follow us along our journey across the United States.

Day 60 - Mesa Verde

Day 60 - Mesa Verde

Well it was nice waking up and being able to actually see our campsite! The drive down back to the main road was even more scenic than I thought it would be! From atop the mountain we camped on we could see some of the “monuments” which was pretty nice.

On our drive we passed a really cool pyramid looking rock formation! Another natural beauty.

We made our way to Colorado and our first stop was Mesa Verde National Park. There were limited visiting hours and it was getting late so we only got to see one ruin and checked out the museum. I would definitely go back to check out more of the park because I was fascinated with all the history and how the old villages were just left how they were created years and years ago!

For dinner, we stopped in a town called Durango. The place we ate at was kinda fancy which I didn’t realize but was still relatively reasonable and very tasty! I got cilantro crusted fish with bok choy and sticky rice and J got a burger.

After dinner we caught a pretty sunset from our campsite and had service! Always a plus ;)
