Day 1 - From Scarsdale to the Sand Dunes

Today we left Scarsdale at 4am to head to our first stop- Warren Dunes State Park on Lake Michigan. We knew the drive would be super long which is why we left so damn early. Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as we anticipated it would be. We stopped every few hours to stretch so in total it took us about 13 hours.. 

We saw A LOT of corn fields and a beautiful sunrise (well Jonah did, I was sleeping 😉)

Finally we arrived, checked out the beach and made a gourmet meal of fried rice and mushy zoodles.. (not the best traveling food). When we arrived the ground was a bit wet from rain so we slept in the car. 

Went in for an early night, cuz we were pretty 💩'd.
